Brackley Town FC secure £15000 grant from the National League Trust for its Football in the Community programme, which offers coaching in local schools and half term and summer soccer school at the football club.
The project, now being led by BTFC First Team Manager, Kevin Wilkin has a small team of coaches offering football and multi skill sessions. Janene Butters, BTFC Managing Director said“ so far, we have been able to deliver fun and exciting football coaching sessions to many children aged between five and twelve within our very organised and professional half term soccer schools".The next soccer school at the club will run over 3 days from Monday 13th February. Janene added“ There's been a lot more happening too. In addition to our well attended soccer schools we are now offering football fun sessions for the 5-7 age groups and have introduced football sessions for girls on Thursdays. We are also working with Middleton Cheney and Newbottle and Charlton Schools and in various discussions with schools in Brackley. Keep an eye on the BTFC web site for further new developments.

Nick Johnson will now take overall control of the Development of the whole Junior Section with input from Kevin and his team. With the Coaching now carried out by mainly Level 2 Coaches across the whole section this has enhanced the teaching of the skills to everyone at the Club. With further training and this support now for the Coaches and match day managers this is seen as another step in the progress for the Club and the wider Community.
